On Thursday, January 3, 2019, the late Mr. Alexander Martin, a cherished husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many, was laid to rest in a solemn ceremony. The service commenced at 13:00 at the Sollentuna Church in the Stockholm Municipality and was attended by a multitude of mourners. Among them were LSA leaders, community members, Swedish residents who had lived in Liberia, as well as friends and family from Sweden and the USA.
LSA extends heartfelt gratitude to all who attended the ceremony, offering their support and condolences during this difficult time. A special acknowledgment goes out to our members and Scandinavians with ties to Liberia for their generous contributions, which facilitated the purchase of a beautiful wreath adorned with the Liberian flag, a fitting tribute to Mr. Martin's memory.
Furthermore, LSA wishes to express sincere appreciation to Glady Nwah (Sis T.) and Carina Andersson for their dedicated efforts in collaborating with the bereaved family, the Scandinavian community, and LSA, ensuring the success of this meaningful initiative.
In honoring Mr. Martin's life and legacy, we unite in shared grief and remembrance, finding solace in the cherished memories he leaves behind.
