Liberia: LSA Extends Condolences to Families of Fire Victims

According to sources, at least 28 people died in a fire at a boarding school in a suburb of Monrovia, Liberia's capital. It is said that the fire may have broken out during the early hours of Wednesday, (2019-09-18) morning, when students of the Koranic boarding school were sleeping in a building near their mosque in the Paynesville suburb of Monrovia.


According to news reports from the executive mansion of Liberia, President, Dr. George Weah has instructed the Police to investigate the cause of the fire. The report also indicates that the President has visited the scene and expressed condolences to the bereaved families.


In this regard, the Liberian Sweden Association, LSA would like to extend heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families for their loss and wish them well during this difficult time, LSA is asking all of its members and supporters to kindly remember the families in their prayers.
