EFLA & LAN to Host The 2023 July 26th Celebration and EFLA's Annual General Assembly in Amsterdam

The European Federation of Liberian Associations, ELFA in collaboration with the Liberian Association of the Netherlands, LAN will host the 2023 joint Liberian Independence Day celebration in Amsterdam.


The celebration is expected to span across three days; Friday, July 28, Saturday, July 29, and Sunday, July 30, 2023. According to plans, a series of activities will be held on these days to commemorate the occasion.

EFLA's Annual General Assembly (AGA) is also scheduled to take place during this year's festivity in Amsterdam. EFLA executive members - leaders of EFLA and heads of Liberian Associations (active EFLA members) across Europe will meet to discuss issues relevant to the progress and growth of the federation.


In addition, EFLA will host a general election at this year's AGA to elect a new set of officials to run the affairs of the federation for the next two years. The second term of EFLA’s current leadership will cease in July of this year. The leadership consists of Mr. Mayango Clarance Arku, President, Mrs. Haja Sesay, Vice President, Mr. Francis Mensah, Secretary General, and Dr. Liana Ursa, Financial Secretary.


According to LAN, the itinerary for this year's celebration is:

FRIDAY, July 28th, 2023

  • Meet & Greet (Sport)

  • EFLA's Annual General Assembly (AGA) (General Election)

SATURDAY - July 29th, 2023

  • Excursion

  • Red carpet Ball

  • Etc.

SUNDAY, July 30th, 2022

  • Grill and Barbeque to CLIMAX the festivity.
