Congratulations to the Newlywed, Mr. & Mrs. Kumba

The Liberian Swedish Association, LSA congratulates Garmai F. Cole and Sahr Kumba for tieing the knot in holy matrimony on Thursday, 13th of July, and Saturday, 15th of July 2023 in Umeå, the north of Sweden. Both Garmai and Sahr are residents of Sweden. Garmai is a Liberian and member of the LSA, and Sahr is a Sierra Leonean.
According to sources close to the couple, the ceremony was held in two folds to highlight and celebrate critical aspects of the couple's backgrounds. Accordingly, a traditional wedding was held on Thursday, the 13th of July to commemorate and pay homage to their African traditions, and a Western-style wedding was held on Saturday, the 15th of July 2023 to embrace the couple's current state. It is said that both weddings were well attended by family members, friends, the LSA leadership (Vice President, Secretary, and heads of the LSA Norrland chapter), and some members of the LSA.
The LSA leadership and members wish Mr. & Mrs. Kumba a long and prosperous marriage. As a community, we are very proud of the newlywed couple - for having found each other, overcoming challenges, and committing to spending the rest of their lives together. May our divine heavenly Father bless and guide them beyond measure, and grant them all their wishes on their new journey of marriage.
